It Came from Obscurity - Hello? Hell... o?

This entry was originally written August 25, 2013

Hello? Hell… o? (もしも死ねぇ)
Developer: Ryuuichi Tachibana
Platforms: PC

English Translation: vgperson
Time to complete: ~1 hour

Hello? Hell… o? is a freeware title made in the ever-popular RPG Maker that touts quite the impressive number of endings. Unfortunately, to make these 30 endings possible, story development fell on the wayside, resulting in a barebones experience that relies more on jump scares than genuine terror. That’s not to say that the game is devoid of great ideas, the most effective of which is the evolution of the title screen. For each ending that advances the plot, more information is revealed on the title screen.

If you are a fan of the standard J-Horror fare like the Ju-On and Ringu series, you might find enjoyment out of Hello? Hell… o?, but for those looking for a more cerebral or psychological horror experience with Japanese flare, there are much better options out there.

Hello? Hell… o? can be downloaded for free here (Mirror). Installation of the RPG Maker VX Ace RTP is required to play (Download here).
